Manager, FP&A

 

Location: Port Credit, Canada

 

About the Role

The Manager, FP&A will be based out of our corporate office and report to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A"). They will be an integral part of the execution of our financial planning process, performance management analyses, as well as, continuous improvements within the Financial Planning Analysis group.

This individual will need to be comfortable navigating a dynamic hyper-growth organization.

 

Responsibilities:

a) Annual Budgeting/Planning:

  • Play a key role in the delivery of the annual budget, including setting assumptions, managing the planning calendar, engaging in 1-on-1 monthly/quarterly reviews of the plans with regional finance teams, updating the budgeting model, and reporting
  • Support development of a global quarterly forecasting system.
  • Provide oversight and support the regional teams/corporate departments on all planning-related matters.
  • Provide training to key users on the budgeting model and review from time to time to incorporate industry best practices.
  • Develop Ad Hoc scenarios based on requests

b) Management Analysis:

  • Participate in the preparation of the quarterly KPI reports that compares key budgets/forecast metrics against the actuals and provides business driven commentary.
  • Responsible for the monthly/quarterly reporting calendar and manage deliverables by keeping stakeholders accountable.
  • Maintain strong relations with regional finance teams and corporate departments.

c) Capital Planning:

  • Prepare quarterly capex reporting and support the capital governance process.
  • Participate in the capital investment committee meetings as an FP&A subject matter expert, as needed.
  • Provide support to the Capital Investment Committee in initiatives as they arise.

d) Continuous Improvement:

  • Continuously improve the integrated financial planning processes for Corporate and Regions.
  • Participate in development of financial planning policies for Corporate and Regions.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years experience, with the most recent 2+ years in FPA. Renewable Industry specific experience is highly advantageous.
  • CPA required and MBA would be highly favorable
  • Strong financial planning, performance reporting and FP&A background.
  • Experience in building and working with financial models and adapting and development of these to support our business.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite is an asset.
